Introducing our new massage therapist Michelle Burke, LMT

Michelle Burke

Waldron Chiropractic is pleased to welcome massage therapist Michelle Burke, LMT, to our clinic.

With 27 years experience, Michelle brings to the massage table an eclectic style of bodywork. Her focus in on treatment and rehabilitative techniques including deep tissue, soft tissue mobilization, myofascial release, and active isolated stretching.

Michelle received her massage therapy license in 1991 from Brenneke School of Massage.  Prior to that she studied pre-physical therapy and biology at Texas Woman’s University. She has taken over 1,000 hours of continuing education in treatment modalities, pain management, and muscular and nerve disorders. She is in the process of completing her Orthopedic Massage Certification.

Michelle is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association and the Washington State Massage Therapy Association. She is active in her profession, promoting research and community service of massage therapy. She has served on the board of massage at the Department of Health in Olympia, where she helped write rules, policies and education curriculum guidelines for massage institutions within Washington. She also served as an on-site evaluator/team leader for COMTA (Commissions of Massage Therapy Accreditation). For five years, she was on faculty as the Clinical Treatments instructor at Port Townsend School of Massage.

Outside of work, Michelle is a huge Seattle Sounders and Everett Silvertips fan and is a season ticket holder for both. She loves to travel the world with her husband and with a non-profit organization called Global Volunteers, where she has served in Portugal, South Africa, Italy, St Lucia, and Cuba. She is currently one of Global Volunteers’ team leaders for Cuba and leads teams of volunteers on a variety of humanitarian projects within the city of Havana.

Michelle and her husband Dave love to camp, hike, kayak, and hang out with their dog Tucker.
